It’s A Fight … But We ARE Winning!

It took the ACLU and other anti-American groups years to scare people enough to make them want to wipe the Judeo-Christian roots of this country without a struggle. When they first started, for example, working against taking Christ out of Christmas, they had to sue and sue a lot! Now people are so scared of these anti-religion thugs that they remove religion almost willingly and preemptively to avoid the hassle.

But now there are groups on the other side that are fighting back. And they are winning because (believe it or not) the law has always been on their side and not the side of the secularists.

Liberty Council is one of these groups pushing back the ignorance perpetrated by those that want to undermine the foundations of society.

Dodgeville, WI - Ridgeway Elementary School has now dumped “Cold in the Night” from its “winter program.” After receiving an avalanche of phone calls and emails, late yesterday afternoon, Debra Messer, the District Administrator, confirmed that “Silent Night will be sung. Cold in the Night will not be sung.” Liberty Counsel sent two letters to school officials on behalf of concerned parents demanding that the school drop “Cold in the Night” and include “Silent Night” in its original version.

The school’s “winter program” has included decorating classrooms with Santa Claus, Kwanza, Menorahs, and La Befana (a Christmas witch). During this program elementary students were going to sing “Cold in the Night.” Sung to the tune of “Silent Night,” the lyrics of “Cold in the Night” were entirely secular.

It is a sad day indeed when people either because they have an agenda or because they fear those with the agenda try to violate the first amendment which CLEARLY says that no law shall be passed “prohibiting the free exercise [of religion]“. But it is a good day when Americans finally begin pushing back against tyranny of the minority who see Christians celebrating Christmas as a threat to their own ideas.

They must not have a very good conviction in their own ideas if they feel that threatened.
