RSSIt Is Now 2 AT (After “Tookie”)

It is the second day of a new era in the world of liberal fantasy land called AT. AT stands for “After ‘Tookie’” for the man many of the fringe lefties touted as a great and powerful voice against violence for writing children?s books which less than 350 apparently read after killing 4 people in cold blood. Yes, the new era AT is upon us and the crucifixion of their savior has them melancholy with grief..
“How ever can this world go on without his shining example to us all!” They cry from the mountain tops! “‘Tookie’ they know not what they have done! Forgive them!”
But perhaps tomorrow, on the third day, he will rise again they hope. After all, a good savior must if that hack Jesus was able to do it right?
And so they wait. They wander aimlessly seeking a sign from their lord that he is all right. “‘Tookie’ will save our children from violence by writing more children’s books that none shall read!” they wail! “‘Tookie will save our society from the hideousness of actually punishing people for the crimes they commit!” they yell!.
But the glory of “Tookie” will not last. For you see the left goes through saviors like a man with the flu goes through tissues. Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean, John Kerry, Dan Rather with forged documents in hand, Joseph Wilson then Valerie Plame Wilson, Dick Durbin, Cindy Sheehan, John Murtha - all have come and faded although every now and again they return like the smell of bad cheese for a while. And so too “Tookie” will pass. It is the way of all things.
