We hear about how Iraq is not winnable and just another Vietnam and how losing 2000 soldiers to the part of the war being fought there is completely unacceptable. Well if these things make Iraq Vietnam then California is worse by over a factor of 2!
A Google News Search found only 5 people even talked about this report, most putting the spin on it that crime was down:

It’s true.
Not widely reported was the information turned out by the WorldNetDaily piece today that compared to 905 coalition deaths in Iraq the number of people that died due to violent crime in the very blue state was MUCH higher. How much higher? The report “Crime in California 2004” registers the number at 2,394.
So IF iraq is a quagmire and winnable then what the Hell is California?
