“I wish Bush would be (coherent, eschewed) for once during a speech, but there are theories that his everyday diction charms the below-average mind, hence insuring him Republican votes.”
That is the question Bret Chenkin at Mount Anthony Union High School asked of his students. He wanted the word “coherent” to be selected. Mr. Chenkin said “The kids know it’s hyperbolic, so-to-speak,” and his students “know it’s tongue in cheek.” FOX News reports “he said he would change his teaching methods if some are concerned.”
“Tongue and cheek” eh? Oh come on Mr. Chenkin! At least when I insult the intelligence of the average liberal I don’t turn around and then claim it is “tongue and cheek”. And every time I do it at least I post the back up to prove my assertions!
Here are some questions that you will probably not hear Mr. Chenkin ever ask of his students. Pick the correct word to complete each sentence:
“Liberals believe (socialism, capitalism) is the best path for America to take hence insuring them the votes of the lazy.” Correct answer “socialism”.
“Liberals believe that our soldiers are (heroic, Nazis).” Correct answer “NAZIs”
“Liberals think that the greatest threat to freedom in the world is/are (America, evil tyrants).” Correct answer “America”.
