Target Boycott Gains Steam

As of November 22nd over 340,000 people had signed on to a petition “indicating they planned to express their disapproval of that decision by avoiding Target Stores during the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend

The petition and response is due to Target forbidding the Salvation Army from setting up their kettles outside their stores and also sanitizing the words “Merry Christmas” from their holiday displays.

Listen, I have problems with the Salvation Army much like I do the Catholic Church (i.e. they work hard to cover up scandals and move people that do shady things around and I can back that up with witnesses too) but at least the Kettle Drive each year is a positive thing! To ban them from the shows a deep disdain for the very meaning of Christmas!

340,000 people is a lot especially if you consider that many of those are probably the decision makers of an entire family. And with the biggest gift giving season of the year upon us let’s see if we, as Christians can put a little bit of a dent in the pockets of these people that do not understand that it is called “Christmas” for a reason!

I would like more information on the US Catholics Leagues boycott of the Miller company for supporting gays.

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not. Even though you may think you are an intelligent liberal, you probably are not. Keep this in mind as trolling is prohibited and will result in your comments not being approved and comments informing us how much we are a bunch of idiots because you say we are or espousing hate towards the truth are often moved directly to the official “I Hate You/You’re An Idiot” thread. Save us all the time and post there directly if you have a comment that would meet those criteria. Commenters reserve the right to mock claims about how liberal ideas, such as higher taxes, actually work and how conservative and right wingers, are NAZIs, racists, sexists, etc. and will do so with great regularity.
