Rep Murtha - Blithering Idiot Of The Day!

This guy is from PA (my home and blue state).

John Murtha (D) is now calling for troops to be withdrawn from Iraq despite having voted FOR the war in the first place. I think the term “Chicken Hawk” more correctly applies to these weak kneed Dems and Republicans that first vote for a war and then during the war want to cut and run. They are “Hawks” before the shooting starts and then they turn “Chicken” once it does.

Murtha in response to the President and his administration FINALLY growing some balls and reminding these Chicken Hawks that they knew what they were getting into and now advocate cutting and running (*cough* Vietnam *cough*) said:

“I like guys who’ve never been there that criticize us who’ve been there. I like that. I like guys who got five deferments and never been there and send people to war, and then don’t like to hear suggestions about what needs to be done.”

The implication is that because the President got 5 deferments and Murtha did not that Murtha “knows better”. The further implication is that there is no one any where in President Bush’s advisors and administration that served and is also giving him advice.

HEY JOHN! We’ve “heard” your “suggestions” since the day we went after Saddam. Maybe they didn’t come from you, but we “heard” them. We just don’t agree with them. And apparently NEITHER do the men and women serving in our Armed Forces who are there right now (which YOU are not). After all they voted PRETTY lopsided for President Bush didn’t they?

Why do these Chicken Hawks try this tactic? Can’t they just admit that the American people KNEW there was a War on and they STILL voted for President Bush despite the failed lies (Fahrenheit 9/11, forged memos, etc) to get their “hero” John “Chicken Hawk because I voted for the war and now want out” Kerry?

It’s a poor attempt. Hey, John Murtha! STFU! You are the “Blithering Idiot of the Day”!
