“More ON” Chertoff

I promised everyone earlier today more on Chertoff’s silly and asinine statements and I am here to deliver!

When confronted by a logical solution to the problem of illegal aliens by Sean Hannity who said:

“Why don’t we say, no, you’re here illegally, you didn’t respect our laws, you ought to go home?”

Chertoff responds:

“Sean, you know, it’s really an issue of practicality. I mean, as a practical matter, we’ve got to identify these people and pull them out of the shadows.”

Uh…well YEAH! That’s what law enforcement does to criminals EVERY damn day! It’s what they are SUPPOSED to do - hunt down criminals.

See that word “illegal” in the description? It is there for a FREAKING reason!

Michael Chertoff:

“The president’s proposal is not a path to citizenship. It’s clearly temporary, and it clearly envisions people who would have to commit to go back. ? What this would let us do is acknowledge the reality that we’ve got hundreds and thousands of employers all over this country who are employing illegal aliens. Sometimes, individual citizens employing people in their home.”

“The cost of identifying all of those people and sending them back would be stupendous. It would be billions and billions of dollars,”

So what Chertoff says is that it is “ok” to break the laws? What the HELL does this have to do with justifying the amnesty proposed by President Bush?

Whether it leads to citizenship or not doesn’t matter. What matters is that we have thousands of people who are not being screened coming into this country every day bringing with them God only knows what.

Sure the cost might be “billions” to identify these illegals but what exactly is the point of that? At least that would be a Constitutional function of government under Article I, Section 8 “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization” and Section 9 “The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight”. Unlike the BILLIONS of unconstitutional dollars spent each year on food stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, welfare and Social Security right?

Maybe if we stopped letting them go after capturing them with only a promise that they will show up for a court date we could cut down on the cost. Hmmmmm? How about that Mr. Chertoff? Then you wouldn?t have agents traipsing all over the country looking for people that you already caught once!

The “cost” is not a point. We have the money available IF we cut the pork projects and the unconstitutional spending! Heck I dare say we could even give a nice big juicy tax cut after cutting the unconstitutional spending and STILL have the “billions” to fund this project.

Why is it that we just can’t have a Republican that is a Conservative? Why is it that the Republicans and those they put into power always seem to be just slightly more to the right than your average Democrat.

ENOUGH WITH THE EXCUSES! They are “illegal” aliens. Treat them as such. Because until you do you will NOT stop them from coming here. Do I have to go over my plan for stopping this nonsense again? The “30,000 ft without a parachute” repatriation policy?

I guarantee you this. It would work.
