RSSACLU Still After Crosses (Other Symbols OK Though)

Tijeras, N.M. is now under assault because *gasp* they put a cross on their county seal in 1973! And the Aging Communist Lawyers Union wants it GONE! But they are apparently OK with the the Native American zia which appears on the seal and is also a religious symbol.
Apparently though the ACLU is going to have a tougher time than it did “cleaning up” the LA County seal by removing a small and historically significant cross while allowing a pagan goddess and a golden calf to remain on the seal. Tijeras is fighting back with the help of the Alliance Defense Fund WorldNetDaily reports.
The question remains however is why? Why is the ACLU trying, once again, to remove Christian symbols while allowing others to remain? Maybe they really think they are living in the 1960’s in the former Soviet Union where the media is controlled by they godless state - but they couldn’t possibly be that stupid could they? I mean surely they realize that the stark hypocrisy here is so obvious that even the casual observer will notice it right?
But alas the American people seem, time and again, completely disinterested in these topics. News agencies are more content to run stories on everything but. In fact a Google News Search of articles about “Tijeras” turns up only a handful of results, many of which have nothing to say about the ACLU’s current attacks. But a wanna-be scandal about the disclosure of the not so secret identity of a not so undercover operative who lined up her own husband to go to Niger - that is important stuff! After all, we have to “Get Bush”.
