Time To Make Michael Newdow’s Eyes Burn

Most of you know of Michael Newdow - an atheist that is so scared of the words “under God” being in the pledge of allegiance that he tried to sue for their removal. Well, he lost that battle because the Supreme Court rightfully decided that he did not have standing to bring a case involving his daughter whom he did not have custody of.

Many conservatives saw the SCOTUS decision as a “cop out” because the Justices failed to address the issue of the constitutionality of the pledge but rather in their minds used a legal loophole. Of course these conservatives are acting just like the liberals they so often decry and seeking judges to overstep their authority. The fact was that Micahel Newdow did not have standing. And without standing you cannot bring a case. And without a case the court cannot rule on the merits of the case.

Got it?

Well, the atheist attempting to force his religion on all Americans (did you know Atheism is a officially a religion now?) found some useful idiots that a judge has now ruled DO have standing. And the judge in the case, U.S. District Judge Lawrence Karlton, said that because standing has now been established he is bound by precedent to declare the Pledge Unconstitutional.

Judge Lawrence Karlton flashes the same intelligence as the man that appointed him to the bench with this decision - former President Mr. Jimmy “Peanut” Carter.

He cannot claim that he is following a previous precedent because there is no previous precedent because the case was thrown out because of a lack of standing before the court. This is all basic law material that is learned in first year law classes. No standing means no case. No case means no precedent. No precedent means this ruling is just as vacuous as the previous one involving Michael Newdow.

Let’s pull out old George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation again shall we? I know you all LOVE to read it. And it disproves Michael Newdow’s entire fallacious point about government not being allowed to recognize the historical fact that this nation was indeed founded “under God”.

THE FIRST THANKSGIVING PROCLAMATION - OCTOBER 3, 1789

George Washington
“Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor, and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint committee requested me to commend to the people of United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness, now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next, to be devoted to the service of that great and glorious Being, Who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or will be.”

How about the United States Constitution? Atheists LOVE to spread the lie that it contains not a single reference to God

Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven

Can we stop with this charade now? Can we? Huh Michael? I really don’t like you making a fool of yourself even if a judge makes you believe that you are not doing so.

On second thought Michael, keep it up! You just provide a prime example of what is wrong with people that would rather promote false ideas instead of the truth.

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not. Even though you may think you are an intelligent liberal, you probably are not. Keep this in mind as trolling is prohibited and will result in your comments not being approved and comments informing us how much we are a bunch of idiots because you say we are or espousing hate towards the truth are often moved directly to the official “I Hate You/You’re An Idiot” thread. Save us all the time and post there directly if you have a comment that would meet those criteria. Commenters reserve the right to mock claims about how liberal ideas, such as higher taxes, actually work and how conservative and right wingers, are NAZIs, racists, sexists, etc. and will do so with great regularity.
