The GOP wonders why conservatives are disenchanted sometimes, but if they would simply look at what their members who call themselves “conservatives” do the answer would be self evident.

Santorum Introduces Proposal to Guarantee Social Security for America’s Seniors

Senator Rick Santorum plans to introduce a proposal that would codify the government’s guarantee of Social Security benefits to all Americans currently over 55 years of age. The Santorum proposal clearly shows the Republican commitment to preserving Social Security to those who need it most.

That was the blurb from Eileen Melvin of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania in an email I just received today (ref PA GOP News 9-19).

Hello! Any conservatives that are ACTUALLY conservatives home in the GOP? Can Ms. Melvin or Mr. Santorum cite where in the Constitution Congress is given the power to codify into law the confiscation and redistribution of the wealth of American tax payers? PLEASE! I’ve been asking this question for so many years that it seems almost idiotic that no one has yet cited a single wording that allows it yet our representatives continue to do it!

In the United States our two major political parties are the Socialists (aka the Democrats) and the Light Socialists (aka Moderates or Republicans). This needs to change soon otherwise our nation is not going to survive to see it’s next centennial.
