Unattractive Women Threatened By Attractive Women Again

Martha Burk is taking aim at a new NHL Hockey ad complaining that the woman in the commercial is dressed “provocatively”. You can watch the ad and decide what you think.

Nothing from Martha apparently on the buff, scantily clad young man in the picture though, but she complains about the “double-entendre” of the woman asking the man if he is “ready”. Why? Because like so many unattractive women Ms. Burk is threatened by anything that shows a woman that doesn’t look like her in brown burlap uniform laying the smack down on someone apparently. In Burk’s world, any display she feels is wrong must be.

Sounds errily familar to the way dictatorships start doesn’t it?

Burk says her group plans to write letters of protest to NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and Dick Ebersol, chairman of NBC Universal Sports & Olympics. - WorldNetDaily

In a special inside scoop American Conservative Daily has learned that these letters of protest will contain the following phrase over and over again “WHAAAAA WHAAAAA WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

Air America Needs Your Help!

Liberals seem to have a problem understanding the concept of “free markets”. Take their latest project Air America for example. In normal instances where a network wants to expand they simply show that they have great ratings that draw advertising dollars and they get on the air. In liberal land however this is not the way things work. In liberal land they beg and plead for money from their current listeners who generally don’t have enough money to spend in the first place to support existing advertisers so that they can buy their way onto stations in new markets.

The problem of course with this strategy is obvious. If you cannot make a profit you cannot survive. But of course economics was never really the strong suit of many that backed the Air America Radio project. Now Air America is begging their listeners for money to expand.

Apparently they are trying to run a radio network like they do everything else. They continue to operate under the impression that even though the product is not generating interest it cannot possibly be because the product is bad. Oh no - liberals NEVER create bad things *cough* Social Security *cough* . It must be that they haven’t thrown enough money at it!

There is an old saying in advertising. Exposure will make a good business grow but exposure will make a bad business fail quickly. What we are seeing here is the failure of yet another liberal idea.

Tom Delay Indicted

We’ll wait and see where this goes. Ronnie Earle has a habit of doing some shady things. In the past he had indicted Kay Bailey Hutchinson but decided remarkable at trial to not present any evidence after indicting her three different times. Huh? Yep that’s right. He indicted her on three different occasions and then decided to not present any evidence at trial. This forced the judge in the case to order an acquittal.

While I was perusing the dial on my way back to the office this afternoon I happened to hear Sean Hannity mention that Earl claimed the reason he didn’t present the evidence was because he felt the judge would not allow key pieces to come before the jury.

So instead apparently he took his ball and went home and showed the evidence to the media along with the sealed grand jury testimony and apparently he or someone associated with the case talked about how a mock jury had found Hutchinson guilty even though Hutchinson never testified before them. Talk about a delusional loose cannon.

If DeLay turns out to be guilty he should be taken down. But by the same token if Earl is up to his old tricks again then he needs to be taken down instead.

McCain Gets Touchy Feely With Sheehan

I don’t know why someone like Senator John McCain would even give Cindy Sheehan the time of day. Ok, maybe I do - he seems to like to be in the spotlight almost as much as the left’s favorite useful idiot.

So he met with her. Come on Republicans, don’t meet with her. There is no reason for it except to continue with her own self delusional state of mind that she really matters.

After the meeting Cindy Sheehan again tried to justify not getting the answers that she wants saying

“He tried to tell us what George Bush (search) would have said,” Sheehan, who protested at the president’s Texas home over the summer, told reporters. “I don’t believe he believes what he was telling me.” - FOXNews

She also apparently may have been caught in a lie (big surprise there!)

Sheehan and McCain had met once before, shortly after the funeral of her son. Sheehan said Tuesday that McCain told her then that her son’s death was “like his buddies in Vietnam” and that he feared their deaths were “for nothing.” McCain, however, denied he made such a statement.

Personally I’d like to see or hear proof one way or the other. But even as much as I find Senator John McCain to be a snake I am forced to believe his version of events knowing that Cindy Sheehan is an even bigger snake and manipulator 100 times greater in scope. Still, I’d like to hear a tape.

Apparently Cindy also lied to get the meeting claiming that there were members of her group that were constituents of John McCain. But the truth is there were none. And there are still people out there that listen to these loons? Loons whose only tactic to get what they want is lies? Pathetic.

Homosexuals And Atheists Once Again Trying To Force Acceptance

Some homosexuals and atheists must have very low self esteem the way they continually try to force other people to recognize and accept them. Sure, they’ll claim that isn’t true and that they are only fighting for their “rights” but the truth becomes more and more clear with each new attempt at forcing themselves into the lives of people that just don’t want to associate with them.

The group Scouting For All plans to march and rally at a Boy Scout camp Oct. 9.

Beside demanding the Boy Scouts open their ranks to practicing homosexuals and atheists, the group also apparently seeks the admission of girls to the organization.

Scouting For All’s mission statement say it is “to influence the Boy Scouts of America to serve and include as participating members all youth and adult leaders, regardless of their spiritual beliefs, gender, or sexual orientation.” - World Net Daily

and in another stunning example as to why actors should stick to acting and not making idiotic political statements

“Institutionalized homophobia in the Scouts or in church or school is the cruelest of all,” said Ian McKellan, the actor who played Gandolf in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, in an appearance for the group. “It makes life miserable for young gay people and it misleads their peers with regard to the ‘truth’ about gay people ? that they are remarkably similar to the rest.”

I’m sorry but apparently playing a wise wizard does not make someone “wise” themselves. McKellan is a prime example.

Because the Boy Scouts swear on their honor “To do [their] duty to God and my country” and remain “morally straight” it frightens some of the radical homosexuals and atheists still unable to cope with their minority status in society. Those that seek to force the Boy Scouts to accept them can’t handle that someone might disagree with their lifestyle. Instead they want governments (they are left wing Marxists for the most part after all) to tell you, me, your neighbor and everyone else in this country that you MUST let them into our house and our groups and our meetings because “WHAH! WE WANT TO BE INCLUDED! LET US IN! LET US IN!”

Dear God it is pathetic bordering on paranoia.

Heaven forbid they start their own Scouting group right? Heaven forbid they try to convince people to join their group as better through argument right?

They won’t because they know the truth - such an attempt to form their own “scout” group would result in dismal attendance by anyone other than homosexuals and atheists. That is why they want to force you and me to accept them and that is why they resort to vacuous arguments such as relating the scouts to the KKK and NAZIs when in fact it is their tactics and their intimidations that most closely relate to such foes of freedom.

An Excellent Post At Stop The ACLU

This is an excellent post by Gribbit over at Stop the ACLU talking about how the NYCLU’s campaign against military recruitment at schools would result in the one thing that the left REALLY wants even though they say they don’t - a draft.

Lets first start by explaining the alternatives to the current recruiting practices.

If military recruiters were to not be permitted to contact students in school and in their homes, a significant drop in the numbers of volunteer recruits would happen. And to secure this nation, we must at minimum replace those who are retiring from military service or elect to not re-enlist. And under these conditions, it would be made necessary to draft recruits from the Selective Service rolls through lottery.

This is something that the useful idiots of the left don’t get. But their leadership understands all too well.

It’s all part of the assault on our troops and our military and our country and an attempt to destroy it from within. Just like when Elanor Clift called our troops mercenaries for being paid.

WASHINGTON ? The Defense Department on Friday reversed its earlier decision to bar key witnesses from testifying about just how much information the U.S. government had on the Sept. 11 hijackers before they led the attacks that killed 3,000 people.

Not sure why exactly but most likely SOMEONE at the Pentagon realized how bad they looked trying to bar testimony over events that were in the past.

So finding out IF Atta and others had been identified before 9/11 under the Clinton administration is not appropriate?

Ok I could understand getting into the details about how they found out and who they found out from might be a little touchy since sources may need to be protected. But establishing that Atta was or was not identified has no bearing on that aspect.

The question is simple. Was Atta fingered or not. And now that we are dealing with a bureaucracy in CYA mode the “truth” may be hard to assertion.
