Teddy Kennedy Finally Hired To Write for Al-Qaeda
J.J. Jackson* | August 5, 2005
When Ayman al-Zawahri, Al-Qaeda’s second-in-command, released his latest tirade about how his terrorist organization would defeat the Americans and the west he include a new reference … to Vietnam.
“If you continue the same hostile policies you will see something that will make you forget the horrors you have seen in Vietnam”
It’s like Senator Ted “Where’s Mary Jo?” Kennedy talking! Apparently Al-Qaeda has finally got the message — that American was defeated in Vietnam not by a superior foe, but rather by the lack of resolve of many Americans. This lack of resolve was perpetrated by a continual drum beat of negativism and here we have Al-Qeada picking up hand in hand with an American media that seems bound and determined to reference only body count and nothing else.
It’s like they got a memo reading simply “Reference Vietnam. The people can be made to hate the war if you say it often enough. - Love Teddy”
And the sad thing of it all is that Teddy is right. Too many people will desire the United States and her allies cut and run if things are portrayed as too bleak. Forget that we have freed 10s of millions from dictators, many of them women and “brown people” which us conservatives are supposed to hate with all of our hearts.
After 9/11 Al-Qaeda made many claims. We heard threats of storms of airplanes that would continue for example. But all Al-Qaeda seems to be able to muster is to send homicide bombers out against unarmed civilians. That’s courage for you!
And when they do actually wind up facing our trained military men and women in battle it is the terrorists that go home in the body bags for the vast majority. There is something that can be said about those that can only win when fighting against the unarmed — and that something is “pathetic”.
