Hillary Clinton who has spent most of her life on the political left trying to socialize our lives (remember Hillary Care?) has recently moderated her tone. Many, including myself, see as setting up the minds of voters with notoriously short memories to believe that they can actually trust her to be President in 2008. But now she has competition that could even put her 2006 re-election in doubt and has Republicans salivating over dethroning her. But with what?
A socialist light in the forms of Pirro who has supported gun control, discrimination in the for of affirmative action, rights for homosexuals above and beyond normal rights, and abortion? Please.
Pirro is a side effect of the “Big Tent” the Republican Party has tried to build over the years while failing to learn the lessons of a Democratic party that did the same years ago and accepted socialists, communists, anarchists and other scourges of Republican government into their fold. And look where they are now. Howard Dean is their chairman ranting like a lunatic and Teddy Kennedy is out there insulting our troops!
So Clinton or Clinton Light? It doesn’t matter if the Republicans win and Clinton Light gets elected. They already have enough trouble with “moderates” like Snarlin “Single Bullet” Arlen Specter that wouldn’t know his ass if he sat on it.
Stop fawning over the chance to replace Clinton with almost a mirror image of herself. Republicans, nominate a REAL conservative and let him or her take on the Beast herself.
