RSSFeelings … Nothing More Than Feelings!

Just when you thought intelligence was about to shine through “feelings” step in and screws everything up!
In May the South Kitsap School District voted 4-1 to change the name of its winter break to what it really is - “Christmas Break”. But, as usual, when a vocal minority speaks up about how they “feel” harmed everything falls back apart. And on Monday, according to KIRO TV, the board switch position and flipped back to the name winter break.
FOX News reports that one of the people that dissented (and even perhaps threatened?) was Sheldon Levine, a member of the Aging Communist Lawyers Union. His letter, according to FOX, claimed the school “could be sued over the matter”. Read WOULD be sued if the ACLU had anything to say about it!
Sheldon also had this little gem of psychobabble:
“I just felt that it was not sensitive to the other people in the community that aren’t Christian, and also for Christians that don’t want the government involved in their religion”
Hey Sheldon, IT IS CHRISTMAS BREAK! I don’t truly care what you “feel”. Try THINKING! Schools shut down for the religious observance of the Christmas holiday and always have. By YOUR “logic” they should be forced to remain open!
Jim Huff, a former member of the school board correctly called those that voted to change back to winter break “Howard Dean wannabes”. Which of course lead to another gem of wisdom from another bleeding heart liberal - Nancy Levin. “It’s a seasonable description, comparable to summer break,” she said. “I think it’s a shame that Mr. Huff chose to leave the board with this parting shot that he knew full well would create a divisive mess for no educational reason.”
Uh Nancy? I know your real IQ is probably lower than that of a rock but stay with me here.
Summer break is not related to any sort of religious observance. What you call “Winter break” is actually tied directly to the holiday season around Christmas and Hanukkah. It is there SPECIFICALLY for that purpose. Once again I say SPECIFICALLY for that purpose! So not only is your argument specious but it shows that you have no ability for rational thought! What do we call Thanksgiving break then since Thanksgiving is a holiday specifically designed to give thanks to GOD! Should we call that “A few days off for turkey break”?
God! We are now all dumber for having listened to what Ms. Levin and Mr. Levin had to say. Go wash your brains out thoroughly to get the filth out.
