At least Six explosions hit London this morning during rush hour (CTV.ca).
Reports are that Secret Organization — al Qaeda in Europe has claimed responsibility and claims the attacks are “retaliation for Britain’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan”. Reports are that two are dead and more than 100 are injured.
The attack comes one day after London was awarded the 2012 Olympic Games.
It further shows that terrorism is still alive and well and that when unable to win on the battle feild, terrorists will continue to target and murder civilians. It is a sign of weakness that has plagued groups like al Qaeda for years. The question now however is how will London and the UK react to this attack?
Will there be outrage?
Will there be cowardice?
Will there be a renewed desire to fight an enemy that has no respect for anything other than their own will as law?
One thing however becomes more and more clear however and that is that these terrorists will not stop until you and I are dead and their will is law.
