When Howard Dean said “The president and his right-wing Supreme Court think it is ‘okay’ to have the government take your house if they feel like putting a hotel where your house is,” he obviously had been into old Teddy Kennedy’s secret stash of Chivas Regal. Referring to the Kelo versus New London decision, Howard Dean continues to make us wonder how a man this stupid could ever have gotten the title “Doctor” in front of his name.

Let’s review again for the progressives out there that like the “Big Lie” concept as their means to power shall we? The progressive left is on record calling Justices Thomas, Scalia and Rehnquist right wingers and who was it that dissented from the decision in Kelo? If you said those three PLUS O’connor you’d be right.

Those that voted FOR the decision? Why the usual progressive (and self described “liberals”) of course in Justice’s Souter, Breyer, Ginsberg and Steven joined by an obviously mentally handicapped Justice Kennedy.

Is this REALLY what the left in this country has fallen to? Can they do nothing more than tell blatant lies to sheep that actually believe this tripe because they are too lazy to actually look at who said what on this case?

I’m not sure who is more pathetic — Howard Dean and the political leadership of the left or those that actually believe what he says.

Jimmy Carter has a problem. His problem is that he is a flaming left wing progressive in the mold of Senator John “Christmas in Cambodia” Kerry and Senator Teddy “Where’s Mary Jo?” Kennedy and cannot seem to understand the truth but would rather seek political power. Obviously Jimmy Carter is still a little bitter about being a one term President.

“I think what’s going on in Guantanamo Bay and other places is a disgrace to the U.S.A.,” he told a news conference at the Baptist World Alliance’s centenary conference. “I wouldn’t say it’s the cause of terrorism, but it has given impetus and excuses to potential terrorists to lash out at our country and justify their despicable acts.”

Wait a sec there Jimmy. You mean to tell me that you STILL believe that standing up to terrorists gives them an excuse? Didn’t you learn anything when Iran let our hostages go the second your appeasing, do nothing ass was out of office and President Reagan came in with determination?

No, of course you didn’t. You’re a progressive after all. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, perhaps you would prefer that we move all these thugs from Guantanamo Bay to your house?

What is worse is that, like most scared little progressives, Jimmy took up his seditious acts over seas in England.

Well, of course you did Jimmy. Like I said before you wouldn?t know how to handle a terrorist even if you had to.

And for your edification Mr. ex-President, there is nothing “going on” in Guantanamo Bay except the detention of those that would cause America harm if released. So go back to your farm and wallow in your own insignificance … or better yet stay over seas. And clutch your Nobel Peace Prize that you won for a plan that failed. You and that award have so much in common.

I don’t even know why this woman is still even part of the White House Press staff anyway. I haven’t heard her ask a single journalistic question in years. But I’d support a Dick Cheney candidacy just to see if Helen Thomas is a woman of her word. Alas I fear that if he run she’d be just like all the other hacks that proclaimed loudly and proudly that they would leave the country if George Bush was elected and that are still sticking around.

More importantly though is that it shows she is just another member of the press with an axe to grind. And she is still reading off the same 5 year old DNC/Communist Party USA talking points memo about President Bush “lying”.

Hairbrained America Recieving Funding Meant for Kids and Elderly?

The nonprofit Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club and its affiliate Pathways for Youth found their city contracts, running into the millions of dollars, abruptly ended last month by the city Department of Investigation.

Why is this you ask?

In its initial announcement, the DOI said it was probing allegations that program officials “approved significant inappropriate transactions and falsified documents that were submitted to various city agencies.”

According to published reports, the allegations involve Charles Rosen, the founder of Gloria Wise who has stepped down as executive director, investing city contract funds in Air America Radio, the liberal talk radio network.

Wow. If this is true, you mean to tell me that “Liberal” talk radio STILL isn’t able to fund itself without government help? I though the people were just clamoring to hear the message of the left? What happened?

Looks like we might very well be on the way to having a second government funded left wing radio network. After all, ask liberals why they lost and they’ll claim that it is because they didn’t get their message across … so to them it is only fair that they get the government to put up the cash for the distribution of their message.

Responding to a lawsuit, the California Academy of Sciences published a letter by leading Darwinist educator Eugenie C. Scott retracting her false claims against a parent-activist who wants to change how a state school district teaches evolution.

The academy agreed to publish Scott’s letter and one by Caldwell in the summer edition of its California Wild magazine.

In a lawsuit filed against Scott and her Oakland, Calif.-based National Center for Science Education in April, Caldwell had claimed that Scott’s article, entitled “In My Backyard: Creationism in California,” contained numerous factual misstatements and libeled him in an effort to discredit efforts to promote his “Quality Science Education” policy. Calwell’s aim is to include some of the scientific weaknesses of Darwin’s theory of evolution in biology classes, without introducing religious content.

“So why do Eugenie Scott and her National Center for Science Education feel the need to resort to such science fiction in order to prevail in this debate? Are the arguments in favor of their position really that weak?” That is a GOOD QUESTION!

Black Activists Criticize False Document Controversy

For Supreme Court Nomination, Manufactured Procedural Delays No Substitute for Genuine Advise and Consent

Liberal Senators may attempt to delay a confirmation vote for Judge John Roberts by forcing a fight with the Bush Administration over privileged work-related memos.

Citing other instances where procedural tactics have been used to obstruct confirmation processes, members of the conservative black leadership network Project 21 are renewing calls for senators to give the nomination fair and timely consideration as required by the Constitution.

“Liberals understand Judge Roberts is a qualified, accomplished and deserving candidate for the Supreme Court. This obstructionism speaks to the level they will go just to fight President Bush,” said Ak’Bar Shabazz, a member of Project 21’s Judicial Task Force.

The Bush Administration announced it will make public all Roberts-related documents from when he was special assistant to then-Attorney General William French Smith in 1981 and 1982 and all materials not restricted by “national security” and “public privacy” concerns from his work in the White House Counsel’s office between 1982 and 1986.

While many documents from Roberts’s 1989-1993 tenure with the Office of the Solicitor General were transferred to the National Archives in 1998 and are already available for examination, internal memos often related to legal strategy were withheld and will not be made available.

The total number of available Roberts documents currently totals over 75,000 pages.

Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales said on “Fox News Sunday” that the White House would “be as accommodating as we can” and possibly release some currently restricted documents on a “case-by-case” basis, but cautioned against a blanket release because they contain “very sensitive, very deliberative information.” He warned that revealing such documents would “chill communications between line attorneys and their supervisors within the Department of Justice.”

In addition to Gonzales, a bipartisan group of all living former solicitors general have gone on record opposing the release of internal memos.

Senator Patrick J. Leahy (D-VT), the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee and a key critic of Bush judicial nominations, called the privacy claim a “red herring.” Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT), who has made positive comments regarding Roberts, now tells The Washington Post he would not rule out a liberal filibuster of the Roberts nomination based on the restricted documents.

A document-related filibuster was conducted against Miguel Estrada’s now-withdrawn nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Access to restricted documents fuels the ongoing obstruction of the nomination of John Bolton to be ambassador to the United Nations.

“The liberals are back to their old stalling tactics,” added Shabazz. “Their attempt to obstruct the Roberts nomination through overzealous information requests shows they are already grasping at straws.”

Project 21 takes no position on the confirmation of any particular judicial nominee, but believes that it is in the best interest of the United States that judicial vacancies are filled with appropriate speed.

Apparently They Have Decided “NAZI” Is Not An Effective Tactic

In an unusual move the left has apparently decided to abandon its typical “XXXX is a NAZI!” rhetoric. Their new tactic? Well in case you missed it this new tactic is to attack they way people dress. But then again when you obsessed with the one thing that people could care the least about and forced to churn out column after column on these least cared about topics like Robin Givhan is I guess it is only natural.

Some of the more low lights of her recent piece on Nominee John Roberts:

“His wife and children stood before the cameras, groomed and glossy in pastel hues — like a trio of Easter eggs, a handful of Jelly Bellies, three little Necco wafers.”

Now tell me. What is wrong with the way they are dressed? Oh, that’s right … Ms. Roberts is not sporting a hot pink tank top with the word “slut” scrolled across the chest area! FORGIVE ME!
