John Kerry Is Passionate So Look Out!
J.J. Jackson* | June 5, 2005 |
Think John Kerry doesn’t hold a grudge against George Bush, The Swift Boat Veterans and anyone else that dashed his hopes for the presidency in 2004? Think again. And like any good Marxist he’ll use whatever he thinks he can get away with. Enter the Downing Street Memo.
A couple days ago I talked about how insane the lefties were going over a memo that they claim is the absolute proof positive needed to show that George Bush planned to invade Iraq over any little issue he could find because … well … he’s just down right evil and they KNOW IT! Invading Kuwait, gassing the Kurds, 12 years of idol threats from the United Nations about how Saddam had better stop being a bad boy, firing on U.S. war planes charged with patrolling no fly zones, theft from the oil for food program, human rights abuses, failing to cooperate with inspectors, attempting to assassinate a President of the United States, links to terrorists and plans for weapons programs be damned … it was George Bush that was evil according to your run of the mill lefty.
And what did John Kerry have to say about the Downing Street Memo you ask? A memo that contained within it no quotes and no evidence of anything but simply one man’s opinion? Why THIS:
“When I go back [to Washington] on Monday, I am going to raise the issue. I think it’s a stunning, unbelievably simple and understandable statement of the truth and a profoundly important document that raises stunning issues here at home. And it’s amazing to me the way it escaped major media discussion. It’s not being missed on the Internet, I can tell you that.”
So here he comes, John Kerry, savior of all that is right and good.
Of course John Kerry hasn’t learned his lesson yet. Conservatives pummeled Senator Kerry with his own words time and again to show how he didn’t just change his mind from time to time like any good person does, but rather changed opinions faster than an IBM computer can calculate 2+2! And that is what is going to happen here too.
Way back in 1998 there was a man that John Kerry supported named Bill Clinton sitting in the White House. At that time the Iraqi Liberation Act was passed and had as it’s sole objective regime change in Iraq. And you know what? On 10/7/1998 it was passed without amendment and by Unanimous Consent in the Senate. What was that? Unanimous Consent? John Kerry can now say he was for the liberation of Iraqis … before he was against it. You can see by reading the Iraqi Liberation Act that Congress came up with 12 points about how evil Saddam was and why he needed to be removed. It wasn’t President Bush that “made up” this tale of Weapons of Mass Destruction. It was in fact, Congressional Republicans, Congressional Democrats and Mr. Teflon himself, Bill Clinton.
“On August 14, 1998, President Clinton signed Public Law 105-235, which declared that `the Government of Iraq is in material and unacceptable breach of its international obligations’ and urged the President `to take appropriate action, in accordance with the Constitution and relevant laws of the United States, to bring Iraq into compliance with its international obligations.’.” - Section 2 of the Iraqi Liberation act signed by President Bill Clinton.
But what is even worse he has also said:
“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force - if necessary - to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security and that of our allies in the Persian Gulf region. And I will vote “yes” because on the question of how best to hold Saddam Hussein accountable, the Administration, including the President, recognizes that war must be our last option to address this threat, not the first, and that we should be acting in concert with allies around the globe to make the world’s case against Saddam Hussein.” - Senator John Kerry MA (October 2002)
Oopps again there Senator. So enough with the bull. We know you and your rabid base can’t believe for one second that the American people rejected you but they did. I think the Eagles said it best when they said “Get over it!”. But he is probably just delusional enough to think he can in win 2008 so I doubt he will.

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not. Even though you may think you are an intelligent liberal, you probably are not.
