Budding Marxist Sues Over Makeup Policy

The firing of a woman from her bartending job at a casino for refusing to wear makeup was an affront to female employees, her lawyer told an appeals court Wednesday. Souce Yahoo News

I think the question here comes down to whether or not one believes in the right to private property in the United States. Corporations are just a person or a group of persons that come together to form and enterprise and make money so corporations have the same rights as the private citizens do.

A casino has the right, again if you believe in private property, to hire/fire and allow admittance to anyone that they choose while refusing admittance to anyone else. I know that in today’s entitlement society it is often hard for people not to be offended by those kinds of statements but thems the breaks kids. You do not have a “right” to force an employer to hire you or to pay you a certain wage, give you vacation, provide you with a 401k, etc unless you believe in socialism that is which is where the government mandates how much your labors are worth to them.

And if you think that you do prefer that, then ask yourself this. How would you feel if the government decided that Hobo Sally who hasn’t bathed in a month and looks like gutter trash needs a job and they come to your house one day and ordered you to give her a job as a maid and pay her $10/hr? And then further if you say “no” they give Hobo Sally the “right” to sue you for millions of dollars? If you said you don’t like that idea at all then you know how a corporation feels at being told who to hire and so on.

Obviously we can see where this woman stands so perhaps she should try and run a business herself for a change and then get back to us.
