There’s NO Crying in Politics!

Ohio Senator George Voinovich showed his girlie man side as he was fighting back tears during a limp wristed plea for people to vote against the nomination of John Bolton as Ambassador to the UN.

Voinovich, who admittedly missed most of the hearings on Mr. Bolton and then began reciting Liberal talking points about how bad his appointment would be said “I know, some of my friends say, ‘Let it go, George. It’s going to work out.’” and then rambled on between his failing voice “I don’t want to take the risk. I came back here and ran for a second term because I’m worried about my kids and my grandchildren. And I just hope my colleagues will take the time and . . . do some serious thinking about whether or not we should send John Bolton to the United Nations.” (source of quote Clevland Plain Dealer)

If only Voinovich would get this impassioned about say, the oppressive amount of Socialism that our government heaps upon us! My God! Maybe we’d get some REAL issue taken care of!

But no, instead, Voinovich is worried that Mr. Bolton’s curt and forceful personality will anger the dictator infested United Nations? GIVE ME A BREAK!

I wonder if this breakdown on the floor of the Senate has deeper roots. Has Mr. Voinovich been taking money from the Oil for Food scandal perhaps? I have to speculate because there really is no legitimate reason for this emotional outbreak over sending a man who has been accused of everything under the sun without much beyond hearsay evidence to a position he is highly qualified to hold.
