Remember that today is not simply a day off work but rather a day to remember our brave men and women who have since passed on. Honor their memory for each and every one of them sacrificed so that you may still live in a nation where for the most part liberty and freedom are still practiced.

Our soldiers have fought many wars over the years in the shadow of our founding fathers who said:

“We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”

And as we go forth this day and each day hence, please be certain to carry with you the same spirit which you each and every day and fight on against tyranny and oppression whether it comes from foreign threats or domestic foes.
