Robert Parton and Miranda Duncan are reported to have ?resigned in protest? from the panel that is charged with probing the United Nations Oil-for-Food Program according tot the Washington Times. However an anonymous spokeswoman for Mr. Volcker?s committee claimed that the resignations came ?after the investigators had completed the work they signed up to do.?

However Mr. Parton commented to the Associated Press that he made different conclusions from the official Volcker Report and further that the report was too soft on Kofi Annan.

So, the dissent about the extent to which Kofi and his son Kojo were involved with enabling Saddam Hussien and the brutal regime in Iraq while proclaiming success. But in reality we now have two of the top investigators involved with this probe dissenting and leaving under questionable circumstances. Such a tangled web that has been woven over the pursuit of global power.

I think that it is time the United Nations be placed in the trash. I think that it is time that we take a different approach to this whole getting nations together to talk about their differences thing. Perhaps it is time to start the United DEMOCRATIC Nations instead. To be a member you have to be a government run by a legitimate representative body. I don?t mean banana republics that rig elections like Iraq did under Saddam but truly democratic societies. And if you?re not you can watch from the sidelines as the rest of us make progress towards liberty and individual freedom.

If you are a dictatorship you are not allowed in. That means no more countries like Syria on the Human Rights Commission complaining about how the United States treats terrorists and ignoring the death of thousands at the hands of their fellow travelers. It think that this will be a good start. But then again, anything that dismantles the bureaucratic insanity of the current United Nations would be a good start.

However if you really think that ?blue helmets? are going to save the world, you probably enjoy the status quo.
